We are excited you have taken the time to visit our website and learn more about our Habitat affiliate. We would love for you to get involved through volunteering. Most everyone thinks that to volunteer for Habitat you have to have experience in construction. That is so far from the truth. We welcome individuals to become part of our construction with or without experience. You can learn the skills through on the job training with safety being a priority. Also, if construction doesn't suit you, please feel free to volunteer in our Habitat ReStore in processing and merchandising of donations. One of the many areas of serving as a volunteer is on our committees that help with the behind the scenes working of our organization. Choose from finance, homeowner selection, family nurturing, faith engagement, site selection, ReStore and construction or if you you would like to volunteer in the office, we are always welcome for your service.
Thank you to all our many community partners and individuals, that have helped us build over 55 homes and restore many homes in Dalton-Whitfield & Murray counties. You have been an integral part in helping families have a decent place to live. We want that partnership to continue and welcome new partnerships. Community partnerships and individuals are crucial to our organization. So if you or your company would like to donate items to our ReStore, please feel free to contact us and we can work alongside you. Our construction costs are an integral part of what we do as well, so if you would like to donate money or donate new building materials toward our home construction, please feel free to contact us and we will welcome your partnership.
Our low-income families in our community need affordable housing. Ask yourself this question....What can I build?
