Habitat Hand-Up Repair Program

If you can answer "YES" to the following questions you may qualify

  • Does Your Home Have Current External Repair Needs?

Examples include: peeling paint, drafty windows and doors, overgrown landscaping, or a need for a wheelchair ramp.

  • Do You Own Your Own Home?

To partner with Habitat for Humanity of Dalton-Whitfield & Murray for repairs you must own your own home.

  • Are You Willing To Make A Contribution to help offset the cost of the materials for repair?
  • Are You Willing To Accept Assistance?

Each project will be designed and planned in a consultation with the partner homeowner. The final scope and cost of the project will be determined by Habitat, but will not be performed without homeowner approval.

  • Are You Willing To Work?

Volunteers from the community will work side-by-side with you and members of your household over the age of 16 in repairing your house. Alternative contributions can be approved if you are physically unable to participate.

  • Do You Meet The Guidelines For Low-Income Families In Whitfield & Murray County?
Greater Dalton Habitat for Humanity wants all partner homeowners to have a safe, attractive, and sufficient home. To accomplish this and continue our program, it is imperative that families have a sufficient income to pay a reasonable up-front payment with Greater Dalton Habitat for Humanity.
